Prerequisites

• To access the Actions menu options in this view, you need the Chargeable Marine Events Actions - Correct All privilege . For more information on privileges, see Privileges view.

The Chargeable Marine Events view displays the billable events extracted for the vessel visits that exist at the current scope level.

You can, either

• Manually extract the chargeable marine events (on page 1), or

• Launch the Vessel Event Billing Extract background job

For each extract, manual or through the background job, N4 adds records of all billable vessel related events to the Chargeable Marine Events view and assigns a batch number. N4 assigns the same batch number to all the events extracted in a single billing extract. The Chargeable Marine Events view displays all the fields that an external billing system can use.

All records displayed in the Chargeable Marine Events view are stored in the argo_chargeable_marine_events table in the database. During vessel billing, your external billing system can extract applicable fields from this table billing. The external billing system can also edit, update, and delete the values stored in the argo_chargeable_marine_events table.

If you are using N4 Billing, you must  configure the billing settings in N4 to establish the communication between N4 and N4 Billing to extract events that need to be invoiced. See, Billing Settings in N4.

In addition, you can use the following Actions menu options to:

• Export SNX file: Export the selected entity as an XML file using the snx.xsd format.

• Correct Marine Event Attributes (on page 1): Correct the event attributes for the selected marine event.

• Correct Marine Event Date Attributes (on page 1): Correct the date-related event attributes for the selected marine event.

• Correct Flex Fields (on page 1): Correct the flex fields included in the selected events.

• Cancel Event (on page 1): Cancel an extracted event so that you can re-extract it the next time you select the associated vessel visit.

Notes

• When you update or correct any data displayed in the Chargeable Marine Events view, it does not affect the vessel visit data stored in N4.

Chargeable Marine Events Columns

The following table lists the columns displayed in the Chargeable Marine Events view (on page 1). In addition to the following columns, the Chargeable Marine Events view also displays any flex fields configured for the marine event billing extract. For more information on configuring flex fields for the marine event billing extract, see Vessel billing extract mapping file (on page 1).
